About the Place
Nestled in the heart of Cleveland’s West Side, Bylo Gyro is a standout destination for anyone craving authentic Greek flavors done right. From the moment you bite into their signature gyros, it’s clear that this isn’t just fast food—it’s a masterclass in tradition and taste. The tender, well-seasoned meat wrapped in warm, soft pita bread, coupled with the crisp freshness of tomatoes, onions, and just the perfect dollop of creamy tzatziki, makes every mouthful a memorable experience.
The portions at Bylo Gyro are unapologetically generous. As one local reviewer notes, the jumbo gyro is so large it could feed three people, yet its mega size doesn’t compromise on texture or flavor. This balance of quality and quantity speaks volumes about the kitchen’s commitment to satisfaction. Beyond the gyros, the sides deserve a shout-out too—the crispy, hearty fries and the baklava steal the show. The baklava, in particular, is a nod to old-school recipes, its flaky layers and honeyed richness revealing an adherence to authentic preparation that’s increasingly rare.
Bylo Gyro’s reputation is bolstered not only by the caliber of its food but by the warmth and efficiency of its service staff. Friendly and polite, they make the whole experience inviting, whether you’re picking up a quick takeout or planning a casual meal. Though the wait times for takeout can stretch a bit during busy spells, the team’s polite demeanor and commitment to quality make the pause worthwhile.
What truly sets Bylo Gyro apart is its dedication to preserving authenticity while offering hearty, satisfying meals that keep customers coming back. Whether you’re a fan of traditional gyros, adventurous with falafel and rice bowls, or drawn by the tempting dessert of baklava, this spot promises a rich, flavorful journey steeped in Greek culinary heritage. A gem in every sense, Bylo Gyro proves that simple, well-crafted food still reigns supreme.
“ January 2022: Was looking for a quick bite to eat with the team and someone recommended this place. I ordered the regular gyro with 2 pieces of baklava. Pros: * The food is delicious . Everything was top notch as far as taste goes . * Prices were reasonable. I paid almost $9 USD for a gyro and 2 pieces of baklava. Cons: * Long wait time for takeout. I waited 15 minutes for my meal, but my colleagues waited 20-25 minutes for theirs and we all placed orders inside the restaurant at the same time. To their credit, this place gets crazily busy during lunch time. * Very small restaurant. The restaurant + waiting area could not be more than 600 square feet. * Limited parking area and small parking lot. I had to double park (park behind another vehicle) just to go in. Another person temporarily parked behind me. Conclusion: The food was great and I will definitely return. I may consider calling ahead to order the next time to avoid the wait. ”
“ Amazing food and service here! Can’t wait to come back. Best gyro I’ve had! ”
“ Best gyros in town. Not kidding. Going to try the rice bowls and falafel next. I only pick up food from there and it’s always hot and ready. The folks behind the counter are polite and friendly. Didn’t rate the atmosphere because I have never dined in. ”
“ Wonderful food. Quick and friendly service. They messed up our order up. I'm sure they would have made it right. Due to hunger we ate it as it came. Definitely would go back again. ”
“ Its so hard to come across an authentic tasting gyro these days, this place is incredible. We got the original and the chicken gyro, well flavored and great texture not dry at all. ”
